Korg BA40 Bluegrass Tuner
The Korg BA-40 is a dedicated tuner for bluegrass instruments featuring easy-to-use functionality in a compact size that fits in your gig bag or instrument case. With its sleek design, large display and Korg's renowned accuracy, the BA-40 is destined to become a staple among professional or aspiring bluegrass musicians.
Specialized tuning
People all over the world enjoy the lively up-tempo sounds and various stringed instruments of bluegrass. Korg has now created a dedicated tuner for bluegrass instruments. The BA-40 tuner allows you to tune bluegrass instruments including banjo, fiddle, mandolin, resophonic guitar in addition to standard guitar and bass. Perfect fifths are supported for fiddle tuning. The LCD meter-type display provides better than +/-1 cent accuracy, and features excellent visibility on stage or in the studio to ensure that you can tune easily and accurately.
Accurate tuning
With a detection range of E1 (30.868 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz), the BA-40 covers the entire range of instruments used in bluegrass music*, and also allows you to adjust the pitch up or down in semitone (half note) steps so that you can use sharp/flat tunings relative to the standard tunings of these instruments. You can even tune your guitar with a capo still attached. Markings on the meter allow you to use a tuning reference in a range of 430 Hz to 450 Hz.
*Even if the pitch is within range, detection may not be possible for instruments that produce large numbers of overtones, or for instruments that have a very fast decay.
Sound Out mode
The BA-40 tuner's Sound Out mode uses the internal speaker to play a reference tone of the correct pitch for each string of the instrument you're tuning. You'll be able to tune more accurately by using both eye and ear as well as train your sense of pitch by repeatedly listening to the reference tone.
Bypass function
The Korg BA-40 provides an output jack that can be connected directly to your amp/speaker system. This allows you to leave your instrument connected to the tuner while you perform so you can easily check tuning at any time. By using the optional CM-100L contact microphone you can tune accurately even in noisy environments.
Auto Power Off function
The Auto Power Off function conserves battery life by automatically turning the power off when the unit is not in use for ten minutes.
Korg BA40 Bluegrass Tuner Features:
Dedicated tuner for bluegrass instruments such as banjo, fiddle, mandolin, and resophonic guitar
Sharp/flat tuning allows you to tune with a capo attached
Meter mode lets you tune according to the input pitch
Sound Out mode lets you tune audibly to a reference tone

Ultra-compact, LCD Needle-Style Chromatic Tuners
High accuracy and superb functionality have made Korg tuners the worldwide favorite. And now, the new CA-1 joins the best-selling CA series of tuners. With even more features, like a pitch reference tone and marks for pure major thirds and minor thirds, the CA-1 packs basic functionality and convenient tuning functions into ultra-compact bodies.
Compact Chromatic Tuner, ideal for brass band or orchestra
Wide range of pitch detection covers C1-C8
High-precision LCD needle-type meter for stable tuning
Sound Out produces a reference tone from the internal speaker
Calibration Function supports a variety of concert pitches
Auto Power Off function conserves battery life
Memory Backup function
Approximately 100 hours of continuous use
Wide Range of Pitch Detection
This compact chromatic tuner supports a broad range of C1 (32.70 Hz)-C8 (4186.01 Hz), allowing speedy and high-precision tuning of wind, string, keyboard, and other instruments. This tuner is ideal for tuning even low-register notes containing numerous overtones that are often difficult to tune. A high-sensitivity mic is built-in, allowing easy and accurate tuning of acoustic instruments such as ukuleles. A separately sold CM-100 contact mic can also be used to send the vibrations directly to the tuner for even more accurate tuning.
Ultra-compact body with a "Tilt Slit"
Although the CA-1 is small, thin, and light, don’t let its pocket-sized body fool you. The CA-1 packs the functionality needed for tuning a wide range of instruments. From studio to stage, tuning is easy and convenient. The back of the unit includes a unique arc-shaped "tilt slit" that lets you insert a plastic card for use as a handy stand.
High-precision LCD Meter
The meter section uses a LCD needle, combining the accuracy of an LCD with the easy visibility of a needle, and providing a stable display. Additional visual feedback is provided by LEDs that indicate pitch deviation.
Sound Out
In addition to visual tuning via meter, the CA-1 can play reference pitches from its internal speaker (Sound Out) for tuning by ear. Each press of the Sound switch will cycle through the A4-Bb4 notes commonly used for tuning wind instruments. Or you can hold down the Sound switch to change the cycle to the semitone intervals from C4 through C5 (one octave), allowing reference pitches for any instrument to be sounded quickly.
Adjustable Calibration
The Calibration function (410-480 Hz) supports a wide range of standard pitches, and can be adjusted in 1 Hz steps for accurate and flexible tuning to any song or key. Thanks to the Memory Backup function, the Calibration and reference pitch are remembered even when the power is turned off.
(However, these settings will be initialized when the batteries are replaced.)
Auto Power Off Function
The power will turn off automatically, if the unit is left powered-on for 20 minutes without performing any operation, avoiding unnecessary battery consumption.
Approximately 100 hours of Continuous Use
Low-power consumption design allows an amazing 100 hours (approximate) of continuous battery life (A4 continuous input, meter mode, zinc-carbon batteries). Even if the pitch is within the detection range, detection may not be possible for instrumental sounds that contain a large number of overtones or have a rapid decay.

own custom tunings.
Tuning is easily seen by a newly developed dual meter using large extra bright LEDs.

A broad tuning detection range from E0 (20.60 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz).
Calibration is adjustable from 436--445 Hz.
A 9V DC output jack is provided to power other pedals in your pedalboard.
Tough aluminum die cast body for superb durability.
A new chromatic pedal tuner with extreme precision and advanced functionality for the pro guitarists and bassist
The pitchblack+ is a high-end pro-quality pedal tuner boasting ultra-high tuning accuracy within a range of +/-0.1 cents. Housed in a sleek black aluminum die cast body it packs a versatile range of tuning modes such as chromatic, standard (guitar/bass), open D, open E, open G, open A, and DADGAD, and also lets you create up to five custom tuning programs of your own with any temperament you specify. This is ideal for accommodating special tunings such as ethnic instruments and stretched tuning. The pitchblack+ also supports tuning for seven-string guitars and six-string basses. In addition, you can also use the flat tuning mode to tune your instrument as many as seven semitones below standard pitch. With a broad tuning range of E0 (20.60 Hz) to C8 (4186 Hz) and calibration that's adjustable in a range of 436--445 Hz, you'll be able to tune with an unprecedented degree of accuracy. The pitchblack+ offers a new level of high-precision tuning demanded by professional guitar and bass players for the recording studio or in live performance.
Large surface-illuminated LED display ensures easy tuning
The pitchblack+ features a large 13-segment LED meter. In conjunction with the tuning guides located below the meter that indicates whether your instrument is sharp or flat, the smooth-moving LEDs provide highly visible confirmation for accurate tuning at any viewing angle. The note name, tuning mode, and calibration are shown by large, highly-readable displays in green and red, and the tuner on/off status is shown by a red LED, ensuring that you'll see everything you need even if you're on a dimly-lit stage. You can choose between two types of display modes: Single mode or Double mode. In Single mode, you can choose between Meter mode, Full Strobe mode, Half Strobe mode, or Mirror mode. In Double mode, you can choose from two newly developed modes; Focus mode 1 and Focus mode 2 which offer even greater precision with excellent visibility.
Dual input jacks allow two instruments to be connected. True Bypass ensures that the input signal is unaffected.
As a professional pedal tuner, the pitchblack+ provides A and B input jacks to which you can connect two different guitars or basses, and individually specify a separate calibration, tuning mode, flat tuning, and display mode for each guitar/bass (input). If only a single instrument is connected, you can specify two different tuning settings and switch between
them by pressing the "INPUT SELECT" foot switch. This supports situations such as when you're playing more than one guitar/bass in a live situation, or sophisticated musical needs such as using different tunings with a single guitar for multiple songs. The sound is muted when tuning is active, and when tuner is off the True Bypass feature ensures that the input signal from your instrument is not colored in any way whatsoever. With functionality such as this, the pitchblack+ can provide high-precision tuning capability while being integrated into your guitar or bass pedalboard and amp setup.
Fits into your pedalboard, and DC output powers other pedals
The Pitchblack+ works great with your current pedalboard system. It provides a DC OUT jack that can supply power to other effect pedals when the optional AC adaptor is used. By connecting the included DC cable, you can supply up to 200 mA of power to multiple effect pedals that require a 9V supply, simplifying the power connections in your effect board.
