The Laboratory gives you 15 days from the shipping date or pickup date to return most products. Guitars and basses have a 7 day inspection period, after which they are no longer returnable. Full refunds are issued as store credit only, otherwise a 15% restocking fee applies.

All returned items must be in the original packaging complete with all components including the warranty card and owner’s manual and show no signs of wear, use, or abuse; otherwise the return will either be refused or subject to a 15% restocking fee, at the discretion of The Laboratory. Refunds are made for product value only, excluding shipping and handling charges. Any returns being shipped back to The Laboratory must have a Return Authorization (RA) number printed on the address label. You must call customer service to get an RA number.

The following items are returnable only if defective or unopened and unused: strings, reeds, tubes, earbuds, earplugs, mouth-blown instruments (harmonicas, mouthpieces, recorders, etc.), raw-frame speakers, drum heads, drum sticks, turntable cartridges, fog fluid, cleaners, polishes, and polishing cloths. Software/soundware, cassettes, CDs, DVDs, and videos may be returned for credit only if they are in their original, sealed packaging. If defective, these items will only be exchanged for the same product. Sheet music, books, and other print items can be returned but always incur a 15% restocking fee.

The following items are not returnable: used, b-stock, blowout, scratch & dent, as-is, special orders, sale, discounted and clearance items.

The Laboratory reserves the right to refuse any return.
