The Laboratory gives you 15 days from the shipping date or pickup date to return most products for your choice of a full refund, store credit, or exchange. Guitars and basses have a 7 day inspection period, after which they are no longer returnable.

All returned items must be in the original packaging complete with all components including the warranty card and owner’s manual and show no signs of wear, use, or abuse; otherwise the return will either be refused or subject to a 15% restocking fee. Credit card returns are issued a credit for purchase price. Refunds are made for product value only, excluding shipping and handling charges. Any returns being shipped back to The Laboratory must have a Return Authorization (RA) number printed on the address label. You must call customer service to get an RA number.

The following items are returnable only if defective or unopened/unused: strings, reeds, tubes, earbuds, earplugs, mouth-blown instruments (harmonicas, mouthpieces, recorders, etc.), raw-frame speakers, drumheads, drumsticks, turntable cartridges, fog fluid, cleaners, polishes, and polishing cloths. Software/soundware, cassettes, CDs, DVDs, and videos may be returned for credit only if they are in their original, sealed packaging. If defective, these items will only be exchanged for the same product.

The following items are not returnable: used, b-stock, blowout, scratch & dent, as-is, special orders, and clearance items.

The Laboratory reserves the right to refuse any return.
